Cold Laser Case Study 3

A 35-year-old patient presented with left side jaw pain (Temperomandibular joint referred to as TMJ) for 6 years. She had treatment to the jaw region and provided an occlusal splint. Due to ongoing pain she consulted for Cold Laser Therapy and TMJ treatment.

Thor laser was applied to the thoracic inlet for lymph drainage and a cluster probe to the TMJ region and orofacial muscles.

Over 6 treatments the patient improved by 80% and then required treatment once a fortnight over 3 months to obtain maximal relief.
